Overview

As Community Coordinator, you support the day-to-day rhythms that make Cohere feel close to home. You are warm, dependable, and attentive to both people and details. You help tidy, execute events, maintain the vibe, and assist members with anything from printing to lunch recommendations.

If you love a to-do list you can check off confidently and also love socializing over a beverage with remote workers, entrepreneurs and freelancers, this is the job for you. This role is designed to be low stress, using tech and systems to handle repetitive work so you can focus on people.

Your direct supervisor is the Community Manager. You will also receive occasional tasks and feedback from the Founder and CEO as needed.

  • Schedule and conduct thoughtful tours by learning our unique style, and support new member onboarding using established systems and guidance.

  • Follow up on leads and tour inquiries using the tools and templates provided.

  • Support events and group gatherings by setting up, attending, helping people engage, and cleaning up afterward.

  • Attend Remote Workers Meetup events and build relationships there.

  • Keep Slack active with low-key fun, reminders, and conversation.

  • Help members with day-to-day needs, questions, and hospitality touches.

  • Collect and bring member feedback, concerns, or opportunities to the Community Manager.

Space Care (The Place)

  • Complete recurring shift tasks and checklists reliably and on time.

  • Monitor supplies and notify the Community Manager when items run low.

  • Help with shopping or pickups and basic maintenance tasks (yes, including toilets).

  • Use Cobot for daily member tasks (check-ins, tours, reports, and other routine workflows).

  • Troubleshoot basic tech or space issues and escalate anything bigger when needed.

Internal Marketing (The Message)

  • Post events in Cobot and share them via Slack and in-person reminders.

  • Hang posters and lightly promote events with enthusiasm and warmth.

  • Help capture moments and photographs for social media and storytelling.

  • Share interesting member moments, event highlights, and content ideas with the Community Manager.

You’ll Thrive In This Role If You

  • Enjoy connecting with a wide range of people.

  • Stay organized and keep calm when multiple things are happening at once.

  • Can take initiative and also follow directions well.

  • Are tech-savvy enough to troubleshoot basic issues.

  • Are reliable and show up with a good attitude.

  • Like routine, checklists, and completing tasks thoroughly.

  • Want to grow into a leadership or community-building role over time.
