There are several volleyball courts, both outdoor and indoor, located throughout Fort Collins, as well. When choosing a court to play on, it is important to understand that the standards and rules for outdoor volleyball are different from those of indoor volleyball. For instance, outdoor volleyball has smaller team sizes, is set to 21 instead of 25, and uses a lighter ball that is more weather resistant. In addition, indoor volleyball courts are usually hard surface courts, while outdoor courts are typically filled with sand. Here are a few of the most well-known and well-maintained courts in the Fort Collins area.
