Cohere Coworking encourages collaboration by offering many opportunities for members to learn more about one another. From highly anticipated potlucks and happy hours to more serious discussions collaborative opportunities like Cotivation, there is a gathering to fit any mood.

Here’s a rundown of some of our most popular offerings:

Lunchtime Yoga

Lunchtime Yoga is a relatively new activity here at Cohere Coworking, and it has been an unquestionable success. In fact, it has been so popular that we’ve recently increased the number of sessions offered to keep up with the demand!

With the addition of a second yoga teacher, Brianna Robles, on March 24th, yoga sessions will now be available for Cohere members every Thursday morning at 11 am. Spots are limited. Members can sign up for their next lunchtime yoga session on the Cobot dashboard.

Crafternoon

Crafternoon, our member-led craftcentric get-together, has continued to be a popular gathering. It gives members an opportunity to share new ideas and support one another as we catch up on all those half-finished crafting projects tucked away in our cupboards.

No need to register for this one. Coherians in a crafty mood are welcome to bring their supplies and join us in the basement conference room from 4 to 6 pm on the third Thursday of each month.

Virtual Work Sprints

Virtual work sprints are a surprisingly effective way to cross things off your to-do list, and you can log on from anywhere. Whether you’re on a road trip, working from home, or right here in the building, join us online each Monday morning at 10 am or Thursday morning at 9:45 for an hour of exceptional productivity.

Ultra-Coworking

Ultra-Coworking is back! Once a month, Cohere Coworking hosts an all-day virtual event connecting Coherians near and far for a day of learning and productivity. We took a short break from UltraCoworking around the winter holidays, and members were eager to return by our February session.

In addition to three productivity-boosting work sprints throughout the day, one of our members gives a show and share presentation. Last month Mark Nielsen presented an enlightening educational film and discussion about the effects of climate change. This week, member Angela delos Santos is discussing Governance Geek Out: Simple, fun things you can do to avoid having your way of life overtaken by oligarchs and/or becoming a handmaiden.

Cotivation

Cotivation is a collaborative motivation group that encourages and supports participants in their journey to reach a goal or goals. Over an eight-week period, members of the cotivation group share their struggles, successes, and ideas in relation to their stated goals. The accountability is gentle, specific, and effective.

These sessions are designed not only to help further your professional goals, but to also keep your personal goals on track. Cotivation can make meeting any goal more manageable from elaborate work projects to drinking enough water each day. Members can sign up for the next Cotivation session under the events tab on Cobot.

In addition to the regularly scheduled events, we also have exciting one-time or occasional opportunities. In February, for instance, we were able to secure time with a tremendously talented photographer, Richard, of ZebraJellyfish Photography, for headshots taken right here at Cohere, and later this month we will celebrate Cohere’s 12th anniversary with a community happy hour.

Members can learn more about upcoming events under the events tab on Cobot, on our onsite calendar, in our regular emails, or through the #general Slack channel.
